2023 Call For Workshop Submissions

A workshop is an educational program designed to teach or introduce attendees to practical skills, techniques, or ideas which they can then use in their work lives. Workshops are interactive, educational, and conversational. A workshop presentation doesn't have to be limited to one person. Co-presenters, or co-facilitators, are not only common but can greatly expand the possibilities of a given workshop. Each co-presenter might be responsible for parts of the workshop, or all may work together throughout the workshop.

The IACRN Annual Conference offers sessions on diverse topics within the broad spectrum of practice settings and roles of clinical research nursing. You are invited to submit your workshop ideas for the 15th Annual IACRN Conference.

Topics for the 2023 conference include:

      • Research Ethics & Protection of Research Participants
      • Informed Consent
      • Protocol Development, Review, and Approval
      • Financial: Study Feasibility and Billing Compliance
      • Recruitment and Retention
      • Roles and Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Nurse and Research Team
      • Study Conduct and Participant Care
      • Data and Safety Monitoring and Reportable Events
      • Research Site Management
      • Professional Development
      • Patient Focused Case Discussions

        • Relevance: Topic is aligned with the conference theme and relevant to the conference attendees.
        • Completeness of the Workshop Educational Planning Form
        • Session description clearly describes the content of the workshop and importance/significance to Clinical Research Nursing.
        • Content/topic supports the session description and minutes appear appropriate for the content.
        • Minimum of one (1) presenter listed for each content/topic.
        • Learning techniques include at least one more learner engagement strategy beyond PowerPoint presentation and Questions & Answers.
