Mission - The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses is a professional nursing organization.  Its purpose is to define, validate and advance clinical research nursing as a specialty practice and to support the professional development of registered nurses who directly or indirectly impact the care of clinical research participants across all clinical specialties.

Call for Chapter Reviewers

The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN) is seeking one or more book editors for the first edition of the Core Curriculum for Clinical Research Nursing. The book editor(s) must have clinical research nurse expertise with past publication experience. The book editor(s) will have overall responsibility for content relevance, clarity, and accuracy. The book editor(s) will work closely with the consultant project editor, who is responsible for the book format, publication process, and distribution channels.

Expected Publication Date: Early 2019

Book Editor Qualifications
  • Experience in all areas of book content
  • Member of IACRN
  • Prior publication experience – book chapter and journal article
  • Experience with APA format
  • Experience with MSWord – Including commenting and track-changes
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and meet firm project deadlines
  • Availability for editorial work 5 to 10 hours per week. Time involvement varies depending on return of chapter manuscripts. Heaviest work times likely will be May – August, 2018
Book Editor Assignment
  • Review manuscript drafts at each iteration
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to chapter authors
  • Editorial decision-making in conjunction with consultant project editor
  • Decision-making regarding content treatment
  • Final chapter review prior to publication
Submission Process
Email curriculum vitae (CV) with brief cover letter to core@iacrn.org by the deadline. Indicate publication background and availability for the hours required during the time period.
