Mission - The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses is a professional nursing organization.  Its purpose is to define, validate and advance clinical research nursing as a specialty practice and to support the professional development of registered nurses who directly or indirectly impact the care of clinical research participants across all clinical specialties.

Core Curriculum for Clinical Research Nursing
Call for Chapter Authors

The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN) is seeking chapter authors for the first edition of the Core Curriculum for Clinical Research Nursing. Writing a chapter for this groundbreaking publication establishes expertise and recognition among those in the specialty.

Expected Publication Date: Early 2019

Authoring Timeframe: January-February, 2018

Editing Timeframe: May-June, 2018

Author Qualifications

  • Experience in the chapter content
  • Member of IACRN
  • Prior publication experience (preferred)
  • Experience with APA format
  • Experience with MSWord – Including commenting and track-changes
  • Availability for writing and editing during the timeframes
  • Authors may apply in pairs. No more than two authors per chapter

Author Assignment 
An Author Kit with format details and samples is provided

  • 5-8,000 word treatment of the chapter theme following established outline
  • Format: Short paragraphs with bulleted statements
  • Chapter format will include key words, key points, and use of tables
  • Editing of chapter based on peer reviewer and content editor comments and recommendations
  • Final chapter review prior to publication
