Are any of you aware of national benchmarks for patient to nursing ratios in inpatient research units? And/or, if your institution provides inpatient research nursing, I would greatly appreciate learning what ratios your institution may utilize.

I would recommend reviewing the article, Patient Acuity Related to Clinical Research: Concept Clarification and Literature Review, by Brennan et al form 2018. It is free access found at: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0193945918804545?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori%3Arid%3Acrossref.org&rfr_dat=cr_pub++0pubmed&

There are some list research intensity tools.
